When US Vice President Kamala Harris visited on Monday, I offered to deploy our RSAF A330 Multi-Role Tanker Transport (MRTT) aircraft to assist in US efforts related to the Afghanistan evacuation. I’m glad that the US has accepted our offer.
The tanker and crew departed today, with 77 SAF personnel onboard. Our MRTT will be deployed to transport evacuees in Qatar to Germany. I wish them all the best as they carry out this important humanitarian mission. – LHL
